在美国专业医生参考使用的《癌症辅助疗法指南》（英文名：《An Alternative Medicine Guide to Cancer》）一书中，医生对舞茸蛋白多糖功效的评价是这样的：
舞茸蛋白多糖—Atkins医生说：“大量研究表明，药用菇类能够延长寿命，对其他治疗方法有协同增效的作用。而舞茸蛋白多糖的动物实验结果确实让我很惊讶，它看起来是目前现有药用菇类中最有效的。”
